behind the blog

WELCOME! I’m amanda – wife, boy mama, and entrepreneur turned blogger, sharing my favorite clean living products and easy recipes from my home to yours.

From my kitchen creations to my journey in creating a more natural, toxin-free home for my family, I'm sharing snippets as I learn. So grateful to have you here to follow along!

about me

supposed to accept as normal in pregnancy and childbirth - the list could go on forever. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to do your own research and take charge of your own health.  I hope I can inspire others to heal and take their life in a better direction along with me!

Over the last 10 years or so, I continue to be more and more shocked by how wrong and misguided everything "mainstream" actually is. The toxic chemicals that are marketed to us as "food", the way our children are eduacated, the toys that are supposed to be best for them, healthcare and western medicine, what we are

though my dream is to live on an old farm, we are in the middle of a city with a tiny yard. Fortunately I'm learning that you can begin homesteading even in the most urban settings. from baking sourdough and fermenting veggies, to sourcing quality local foods and growing in garden containers - it doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing lifestyle!  DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE - EVERY STEP IS A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER.

My husband is also an entrepreneur, and runs an amazing video game studio. I don't know how he works so many hours, and manages SO many employeess, but he is an incredible, very talented man and we are so lucky to have him :-)

what does your husband do?

As most toddler mamas can probably relate, there is no longer much time for hobbies. But I do love CrossFit! It changed my life 7 years ago, and I make sure to always fit workouts in 4-5 days per week.  I also really love reading a good book and cooking!

I started a wedding-related Etsy shop and grew that into a multi-million dollar corporate gifting business. Once I had my son, my priorities shifted and I realized I needed a career that would allow me to be home with him and eventually homeschool.
